Okay i like trying new food all the time at least ones in a week and i thought of "IKOKORE" Hmm, and i start to wonder where can i get my recipes ? as an ijebu girl "IKOKORE" is our number one food after "garri" since am living far from home, but where can i get water yam? (anyway i will find out) for those that don't know what "IKOKORE" is, Ikokore is a native meal for the Ijebus of Nigeria, I can tell you for free that this is a very delicious meal, when you visit an Ijebu, you can be sure to be entertained with this.
It might look disgusting but i can tell, you will always ask for more, but incase you are wondering what made up this?
Ingredients are:
Water yam
Blended fresh Sombo (long red pepper)
Dried Shawa fish (for those abroad you can get a smoked can fish)
Ponmo
Shaki
Dried prawns
Seasoning
Salt
Palm oil
Water
So back to my question, do anyone have the idea of where i can get water yam? i Live in Finland !!!
